GRADUATE FASHION WEEK..

so yesterday we went to earls court to see the stands at graduate fashion week, there was some absolutely amazing pieces on show from various different university's and colleges, i particularly liked the work from De Montford. i took pictures of pieces i liked the most....i also really liked the way some of the stalls were set out, i loved the red and black room.
I also bumped in Henry Holland which was amazing as im a massive fan of his work!
the work i saw was impressive and helped me to realise the calibre of work im expected to produce, over-all a good day.

FASHION SHOW...

over-all i really enjoyed helping out at the fashion, it provided me with valuable experience for the future and gave me an insight into what sort of environment i could be working in. my favourite part was the actual dressing, i like working at a fast pace, but enjoyed it all as a whole, just wish i could of seen the show!

HAIR AND MAKE-UP.

the models all had the same hair and make-up, we made sure melissa was in and out as quick as poss so we had enough time for her to be ready for the show.

BACK STAGE AT THE SHOW...

we had to collect outfits from various collection and put them in the order we'd need them throughout the show.

MELISSA...

here was the info we were given about our model, stating her dress size shoe size etc, also the running order in-which she was on show, we were given the designers names and the running order and had to sort outfits for Melissa from each designer and find shoes in her size from each collection.

GRADUATE FASHION SHOW...

So, wednesday and thursday we worked behind the scenes at our graduate fashion show, i had the role of 'dresser', my duties included taking care of our model, making sure all of our outfits were in order, making sure the model had refreshments etc, making sure we were on time and where we needed to be when we needed to be there. I was working with catherine and our model was called melissa, she was a 20 year old model from manchester, very pretty girl!
